
VIRGINIA CANALS AND NAVIGATIONS SOCIETY OUTREACH PROGRAM
VC&NS CANAL INFORMATION CENTERS
The Virginia Canals and Navigations Society (VC&NS) has established Canal Information Centers at multiple locations throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. At each Center, a complete collection of VC&NS publications has been placed. This provides canal study material at the following institutions, who have other historic resources which will aid in the study of Virginia canals:

A permanent canal exhibit is displayed at Goochland County Historical Society, Goochland County Court House, Goochland, VA. VC&NS outreach activities include the development of a permanent canal display with the Virginia Museum of Trans- portation to begin construction during 2000/2001.
