The Tiller magazine is a journal of what the canal society does, including special events we attend and accomplishments and milestones of our members. The James River Batteau Festival always provides us with opportunities to document great stories and we have one such story in hand that will be told in the upcoming Tiller.
However, we need more. If you have a story you would like to share, please send it in. It does not have to be scholarly, in fact, it can be one or several anecdotes. We do have just a couple guidelines on what makes it publishable: please include a byline (who wrote it), your story in an editable electronic format, and a photo or photos to accompany it. Photos must include captions (i.e. the Photo file name or a separate note in your transmission as to what you want the caption to be).
Please send your stories to firstname.lastname@example.org.
